20 Years

2023 sees the 20th Anniversary of Ye Olde Hurdy Gurdy Museum of Vintage Radio (HGMOVR), founded by my late father Pat Herbert.

The milestone fell on the 22nd April, which also happened to be International Marconi Day, my dad's favouite day during the year. Why you may ask? As well as attracting radio & gadget heads on the day, it also attracted museum lovers, families, collectors and randomers of all types, to pay homage to Guigelmo Marconi, who incidentally had an Irish mother, namely Annie Jameson of the Whiskey Family.

It was my father's wish to pass on the History of Radio and it's knowledge, to the present and future generations. The collecting of all things Radio & Communications for over 60 years and the museum, gave my dad so much pleasure. The HGMOVR is dad's legacy and one that the Herbert family are so very proud to continue sharing.

Keep listening!
